I am a strong believer in the power of understanding, so my methods would be going through past papers, and helping my students to understand entirely what the exam board expects from the student to achieve the highest grade. And I will explain to them how they can achieve this, and the methods I personally use to achieve my grades in mathematics. I am also younger, finishing my GCSEs in June 2022, so I understand more about what students are going through during this stressful period of exams, and I also have a know-how of how to optimise your studying, and what sources are most accurate in comparison to the actual final exams. I would introduce myself to the student and talk to them in order to understand how they work and evaluate their level, as grades are not necessarily a good representation of the actual skill of a student, sometimes they just need the correct advice and guidance to put them up 1, or maybe 2 grades. The main goal of my lessons would be to cover every possible scenario for the exam, and prepare the students to the best of my ability for each of these best or worst case scenario, as this is a very possible outcome across multiple papers. I would encourage students to talk and ask questions, as the more questions asked, the more answers achieved, and the more answers achieved, the more knowledge a student will have, so by the end of my lessons, I would strive to have my student fully understanding all topics covered.
