I am a CELTA-qualified professional English language educator with more than four years of experience. I am currently completing my MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL at the University of Leicester. I have experience teaching adult learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including ESOL, work skills, and Functional Skills Maths. My lessons support learners in improving fluency, confidence, pronunciation, grammar, and real-life communication skills. In online classes, I use interactive materials and engaging activities to create dynamic lessons that keep learners motivated and actively involved.

My lessons follow a student-centred communicative approach, with a strong focus on meaningful communication and real-life language use. I believe learners improve best when they actively use English through speaking, listening, reading, and writing in supportive and engaging lessons.

Building good rapport with my learners is one of my priorities. I aim to build a comfortable classroom environment where students feel confident to speak, ask questions, and make mistakes without fear. I believe this is essential for enjoyable lessons, learner motivation, active participation, and long-term progress.

My lessons are interactive and tailored to each learner’s needs, goals, and level. Depending on the learner, lessons may include discussions, role plays, games, real-life scenarios, pronunciation practice, grammar support, vocabulary building, and task-based activities. I also provide constructive and detailed feedback to help learners recognise their strengths and areas for improvement while continuing to develop their skills.

I strongly encourage independent learning outside the classroom as well. Learning English is a gradual process that requires regular practice, consistency, and patience. For this reason, I often provide homework, self-study suggestions, and practical ways to continue using English in everyday life.

Above all, I want my learners to enjoy the learning journey while developing confidence, fluency, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
