My lessons are structured, practical, and focused on helping students improve how they think and express their ideas, not just memorise content. I mainly support students in English and humanities subjects, with a strong focus on essay writing, argument development, and revision strategies.

A typical lesson is interactive and tailored to the student’s needs. We usually start by identifying specific areas they find challenging, such as structuring essays, understanding questions, or organising revision. I then break these down into clear, manageable steps and guide the student through examples so they can see exactly how to apply them.

For essay-focused sessions, I work closely with students to improve clarity, structure, and critical thinking. This includes planning essays, building strong arguments, and refining written responses. For revision support, I help students create simple, effective strategies that make studying more focused and less overwhelming.

My background in communications and writing means I’m used to simplifying complex ideas and presenting them clearly, which is a key part of how I teach. I aim to create a supportive and focused environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gradually build confidence in their abilities.

I also adapt my pace and teaching style depending on the student’s level, ensuring lessons remain engaging, practical, and easy to follow while still challenging them to improve consistently over time.
