Hii!! My name is Dulcie, I am 16 years old, and I am passionate about both English Language and English Literature. I am currently predicted a grade 9 in English, and I want to use my knowledge and enthusiasm to help younger students feel more confident and capable in these subjects. I know that English can sometimes feel overwhelming, but I also believe it can be exciting, rewarding, and even fun when taught in the right way.
My lessons will focus on supporting students with the areas they find most challenging, whether that’s analysing texts in English Literature, improving essay writing skills, understanding key themes, or building strong grammar and writing foundations in English Language. I will adapt my teaching style to suit the individual needs of each student, making sure they feel comfortable, supported, and motivated.
As someone who is still in school myself, I understand the pressures students face, and I can explain concepts in a clear and relatable way. I want my lessons to be interactive and engaging, encouraging students to ask questions, develop their ideas, and enjoy the process of learning. For Literature, this might mean exploring characters and themes in a way that brings stories to life. For Language, it could mean fun exercises to strengthen vocabulary, creative writing, and exam preparation.
Above all, my goal is to help students improve their skills, build confidence, and discover the enjoyment of English Language and Literature in a positive, supportive environment. I want to help get the best out of learning as possible!
