Dulaksana Uthayakumar

My lessons are friendly, interactive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I start by identifying areas they find difficult, then break concepts down into simple, manageable steps before working through examples together. Students will then have the opportunity to practise independently, allowing me to identify and address any misconceptions.

I aim to make Maths feel less intimidating and encourage students to ask questions without worrying about getting things wrong. I also use short quizzes, real-life examples and activities to keep younger students engaged.

Having worked with children for around three years through volunteering, I have developed patience, adaptability and experience communicating with younger learners. My goal is not only to improve their Maths skills, but also to build their confidence in the subject.
