In our first (FREE) tutoring lesson, we will discuss what your goals are and how we are going to go about achieving them. We will discuss your strengths, weaknesses, needs and preferred teaching style in the upcoming tutoring sessions. I may ask you for any course or module content that you may need assistant with. I will use this information to plan and tailor our future tutoring sessions so that you can get to where you need to be.
After the first and between tutoring lessons, you can message me what content you would like to cover in the next tutoring lesson. The content that you decide will form the aim of the tutoring lesson. How we go about achieving the aim of the tutoring lesson will depend on the content covered. For example, if you would like to know how to conduct a t-test in SPSS for your assignment, then I can show you how to do this using either your data or some example data.
In terms of dynamics, I am calm, patient, approachable and supportive. I can go over content as many times as you feel is necessary until you are confident in your understanding of the content. I do not believe that there are ‘bad’ or ‘stupid’ questions. Therefore, I implore you to ask as many questions as you feel are necessary to cement your understanding of the content. This does not mean that I will not challenge you to help push you towards your goals.
