Hi, I’m a maths tutor with a calm, patient, and flexible approach, offering lessons mainly online (with in-person options available). I work with children of all ages up to A-level, tailoring every session to the individual student.
I know first-hand how challenging maths can feel. I struggled with it myself when I was younger, but with the right support and techniques, I was able to improve my grades and go on to study engineering. I’m now an aerospace engineer working at National Grid, and tutoring is something I genuinely care about because it’s the help I wish I had at school.
When I start with a new student, I usually look at past papers or previous work. This helps me quickly understand where they are confident and where they need support. From there, I adapt my teaching style to suit them—whether that means slowing things down, explaining concepts in a different way, or building up step by step.
My lessons are friendly and pressure-free. I focus not just on improving grades, but on helping students build confidence and independence so they don’t feel stuck or anxious when facing maths on their own. I’m patient, easy-going, and always happy to answer questions—no matter how small they seem.
I’ve seen this approach work through helping my siblings for many years and supporting my current tutee, who has grown in both confidence and ability. My goal is simple: to help students feel capable, supported, and able to reach their potential in maths.
If you’re looking for a tutor who is empathetic, flexible, and genuinely invested in your child’s progress, I’d love to help.
