In my lessons I try explaining my subject (Maths) in the simplest way I can by giving examples and tricks so that even if the student doesn't remember a particular formula, he/she can derive it then and there only. I start by explaining the basics and then give them practice on the topic taught in the class which is followed by doubt clearing in the next class and then we move on to the next topic. After completion of a chapter I give them timed tests and once the tests are checked, they can have another doubt clearing class where the test is discussed and the wrong questions are again to be attempted by the student to get a thorough understanding of the topic. This strategy has given me excellent results from the students I have taught before. I had tutored sixth grade students in Maths and English and it was both a fun and a learning experience for me.
