Teaching is my passion and Maths is my favorite subject. I have been teaching in a school for the last 3 years and practically experienced teaching whole bunch of various types of students from different levels in different classes. My classes are fun filled, interactive and engaging. My students enjoy the lessons despite maths being a difficult subject. I always make sure all lessons and units establish and integrate clear objectives. My lessons are easy to digest as I use examples and activities to ease and encourage students to actively try problems and effortlessly find the solutions. With my experience I clearly identify the areas of weakness with individual students tailoring lessons accordingly to further increase student learning. When teaching maths to kids I use pictures and flash cards which are helpful tools to teach concepts in maths. While visual aides and pictures can make concepts easier to understand, flash cards provide hands on learning experience Students in my class involuntarily learn maths while they voluntarily play interesting games such as Yahtzee, Baffle, and Dominoes all use the process of addition. In my class students are encouraged to preserve with challenging tasks while also teaching students to utilize problem solving methodology and techniques during test to increase achievement, adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students varying needs and enhance learning and create and sustain an interactive class room atmosphere to maintain student interest and facilitate learning. I usually plan, develop and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate for classrooms. I also organize meetings with parents and maintain good relationship with students and foster open communication in culturally diverse class room.
