I am a qualified maths teacher with experience teaching GCSE Maths at both Foundation and Higher level. I understand the demands of the curriculum and exams, and I adapt each lesson to suit the individual student rather than using a fixed approach for everyone.
A typical lesson starts with a short check-in or recap to see how things are going at school and to identify any areas that need extra support. I then focus on one key topic at a time, explaining ideas clearly and working through examples together. Most of the lesson is spent practising GCSE-style questions, with guidance and feedback throughout, so students can see how to apply their knowledge and improve their exam technique.
I regularly use exam questions and mark schemes to help students understand where marks come from and how to avoid common mistakes. If helpful, I may set a short practice task between lessons to reinforce learning.
My teaching style is calm, patient, and encouraging. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Parents can expect clear communication, honest feedback, and lessons that focus on steady progress and exam success.
I offer online 60-minute tutoring sessions and tailor lessons to each student’s goals and ability.
