Hi, I'm Dinuki!

I'm a 3rd-year medical student and an experienced Maths and Science tutor with over 8 years of tutoring experience. I teach KS2, 11+, KS3 and GCSE Maths, as well as KS2, KS3 and GCSE Science.

I've been tutoring independently for many years, both in person and online, and I also have experience working with the tutoring company Tutorhive. Over the years, I've worked with students of different ages and abilities, adapting my teaching style to suit each student's individual needs, confidence and learning pace.

I currently provide online lessons using screen sharing, visual explanations and an interactive whiteboard to work through topics step by step with students. Depending on the subject and student's needs, I use a combination of online and physical textbooks, practice questions, exam-style questions and past papers. I can also provide timed practice exams under exam-style conditions, followed by detailed feedback and teaching based on the student's answers and areas for improvement.

I aim to keep lessons interactive rather than simply talking through content. Students are encouraged to ask questions throughout, work through problems with me and explain their reasoning so that I can identify and address any gaps in understanding. For online lessons, microphones are used for communication, while cameras can be turned on or off depending on the student's preference and comfort.

I'm very flexible with lesson timings and am always happy to tailor the structure, content and pace of lessons to best meet each student's goals, whether that's building confidence, improving grades, preparing for exams or getting ahead at school. Communication outside of lessons can also be arranged by phone or email, depending on what is most convenient for the student or parent.

My usual rate is £25 per hour.
