Dhamanjot Dhillon

Hi! My name is Dhamanjot and I’m a recent graduate from the University of Birmingham. I specialise in Maths education though I studied Physics and Chemistry at A-Level as well. I can teach any exam board for mathematics at any level, though my Physics and Chemistry knowledge is limited to the A level AQA specification. I worked as a volunteer tutor at a community centre for 2 years, where I taught mostly GCSE students, and an A level tutor at my former sixth form. I worked as a tutor all throughout my time at university as well, so I’m pushing 5 years of experience! Shoot me a message if you’re interested, or just to say hello!

My lessons typically start out by briefly recapping previously covered content to aid long term memory. I then briefly explain the theory behind the topic in discussion, before diving into guided practice questions, to familiarise you with exam technique. I found the best results came when I: 1. Truly understood the content, alongside all of its nuances and intricacies, and 2. Kept returning to it. I rely heavily upon the principle of spaced repetition to commit ideas to my long term memory. I recognise that not everybody learns the same way, and so I am open to different learning styles if you’d prefer, so please do let me know what works best for you!
