I would be a great tutor because I am creative, supportive and confident in helping students solve problems and develop their own ideas.

I can help students understand and respond to project briefs, organise their work and come up with fresh ideas for creative projects. I enjoy supporting students through brainstorming, research, planning and the development of their final outcomes.

I can teach both traditional and digital creative techniques, including drawing, sketching, digital design and some sewing and textile techniques. I am particularly confident in helping students improve their drawing skills and explore different ways of developing ideas visually.

During lessons, I encourage students to brainstorm, create rough sketches, thumbnails and initial ideas before moving on to their final outcome. This helps students understand the creative process and become more confident in their own work.

I can also help students become more organised by encouraging them to use a diary or planner, take notes during lessons and break larger projects into manageable steps.

Research is an important part of creative work. I encourage students to visit museums, exhibitions, archives and different places to gather inspiration and discover new ideas. I use this approach in my own creative practice and believe that experiencing different environments can greatly improve the development of a project.

I have strong qualifications in Graphic Design and Art, along with teaching experience. I am a good listener and can adapt my teaching style to suit each student's needs, abilities and goals.

If a student is struggling with a project, I can support them with research, brainstorming, drawing, planning and idea development. My aim is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, experimenting with ideas and building their creative confidence.
