I am an enthusiastic and supportive English tutor with a strong academic background in essay-based subjects and a passion for helping students build confidence in their writing and communication skills. I achieved Grade 9 in both GCSE English Language and Literature, and went on to study essay-focused A levels, which strengthened my analytical writing, critical thinking, and ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
During sixth form, I was selected as the Psychology Subject Fellow, a role that involved supporting students with essay writing, teaching key concepts, and running one-to-one sessions for those who needed extra guidance. This experience helped me develop a patient, structured, and student-centred teaching style that I now apply to English tutoring. I learned how to break down difficult topics, identify individual learning needs, and create a calm learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
