Each session commences with a concise recap or warm-up exercise to reinforce previously acquired knowledge and strengthen fundamental skills, ensuring the gradual consolidation and expansion of their understanding. Subsequently, each lesson concentrates on a specific topic area, encompassing algebra, geometry, statistics, number work, or problem-solving. I systematically present these topics through step-by-step explanations and meticulously crafted worked examples.

To ensure comprehensive preparation for the diverse range of exam styles and difficulty levels, I employ a diverse array of resources, including past examination papers and exam-style practice questions.

My teaching approach prioritises interactivity and student engagement. I actively encourage students to participate, pose inquiries, and attempt problems with guidance before independently working through similar questions. I adapt my teaching style to cater to individual learning needs, whether it involves revisiting foundational knowledge or challenging high-achieving students with more intricate material. Throughout the lesson, I provide constructive feedback and elucidate not only the “how” but also the “why” behind each method, fostering a deeper comprehension rather than mere memorisation of procedures.

A primary focus of my instruction lies in exam preparation. I place significant emphasis on problem-solving strategies, effective time management techniques, and clear and comprehensive working methods to secure the highest possible marks. Additionally, I offer personalised guidance on common mistakes and highlight the critical areas that examiners scrutinise. With extensive experience tutoring GCSE Mathematics across all major examination boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR), I am well-versed in the subtle variations in question format and requirements.
