I offer one-to-one tuition in social science subjects, including psychology, sociology, ethics, philosophy of religion, and theology. My sessions are tailored to each student’s goals — whether that’s preparing for exams, improving coursework, or getting to grips with complex ideas.
Each lesson begins with a quick check-in to set focus. From there, we might explore key concepts, analyse texts, build arguments, or work on writing and citation. I use a flexible format that blends discussion, guided questions, and practical exercises to help students think clearly and write with confidence.
My approach is collaborative and supportive. I encourage curiosity and help students find their own voice, especially when tackling challenging topics or refining academic work. I can offer help with essay structure, referencing (APA 7 and others), and developing critical thinking skills.
I have submitted my PhD thesis in applied theology and am awaiting the viva voce examination. I have experience supporting students at GCSE, A-level, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels and understand the pressures of academic life. I aim to create a space where students feel respected, encouraged, and equipped to succeed.
