I may be only starting my teaching career, but with both a Bachelor's and Master's in linguistics-related fields I have no doubts in my subject knowledge. Using my native competence in Russian combined with professional knowledge of its grammar and other intricacies, I can give you the best possible answer to any question you have about this complicated language. I'd be happy to share my expertise on aspects most native speakers won't be able to explain, since they never get to think about why something works this or that way in Russian.
The lessons will naturally be centered around what YOU need and ask for - be it exams or just casual conversational ability; but generally we will work on four core skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. While some lessons will have to be spent getting into the nitty-gritty of Russian grammar (can't escape it sadly), I will also implement fun stuff too. We will read short stories, watch popular videos and more generally engage with Russian culture, not just language. Languages always inspired me as fascinating representations of unique cultures, so I believe it important to share that too - how many wonderful things can be accessed through the window of language.
The student always comes first, so we will inevitably start with talking about your personal goals in learning Russian. Once that is done I can come up with a plan that will allow us to move in theat direction. I prefer to see tutoring more as a partnership, where both sides work together on a common goal. So, let's get to work, partner :)
