I have tutored students ages 5-16 for Maths and use various methods depending on each student. I am fully adaptable and like to get the students input on what methods work best for them and what subjects they like to go over. I find for GCSE level practice exam questions are the most helpful and I would start by reviewing the topic and then going over an past exam questions related to that topic encouraging the student to do as much as they can on their own and guiding them, as well as teaching them useful tricks and how to show their full working to gain both maximum method and answer marks. At the end of each session I would ask the student what they want to review in the next session so I am fully prepared for them and don’t waste any of their valuable time.
