Davina Patel

I am a graduate, who studied English and History at the University of Leeds. After my degree, I completed both an LLM in Intellectual Property Law and the GDL. Alongside securing a training contract at a top law firm, I have also just finished my Legal Practice Course, achieving a Commendation.

I have been a tutor on the platform for 6 years, where I have developed significant experience in teaching students from all stages and exam boards. My tutoring model is based on delivering high-quality lessons at a reasonable price. Most of my students in GCSE and A level have achieved an A-A* with some students achieving a B. None of my previous students have achieved anything less than a B.

By way of a quick background, I did OCR for English Literature, AQA for History and Edexcel for Government and Politics; all of which I was taught by examiners in these respective boards. I help my students improve their grades by using the tutorial sessions to target their weaknesses and strengthen those by developing their content knowledge and essay writing skills. This approach is a tried and tested method that has proven to be exceptionally successful because I will encourage the students to format their answers in the manner that the examiners prefer. In doing so, this may help them achieve higher marks in their exam papers. I will also combine this approach with intensive exam questions and past papers, where I will pass down any tips that I was taught by the examiners.
