Hello!

My name is Davide and I am currently taking a Masters in the field of ecology and evolution. These are both very broad topics that include looking at everything from bacteria to mammals and insects. However, my particular interest is plant molecular biology, so I do a lot of work surrounding genes and plant ecology. I am currently studying in the University of Manchester, one of the best for biological sciences! I have also done several internships and field courses, so I am very aware of the practical applications of biology and can give many first hand examples on a large breadth of topics.

I have also tutored privately before, and there I really understood what style of teaching I prefer most. For me, I find that a simple, straightforward lesson plans work best. Teaching the theory/content for one lesson, and then testing it in the next makes lessons more streamlined and less cluttered and chaotic. Also, doing a lesson of content and then one where this is tested allows for good spaced repetition, which helps to cement information for longer. I also make use of past papers a lot (for GCSE), as getting used to the type and style of questions is very important for increasing exam confidence.
