However, I have also made and taught courses in American Popular Song and Cultural Literacy.
My lessons are student-centered. I work with my students , so the style and content depend very much on who you are and what you need. So in the beginning, I would ask you many questions about yourself: your age; where you live; what you do; your previous language learning experience; your interests, hobbies, travels; why you are studying English; what you want to acheive; how much time you have to study; and what equipment you have available. I would also give you a short quiz to assess your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.
About me? Well, I was born in Newcastle-on-Tyne in the UK, but I have lived in Japan for the past 34 years. Before coming to Japan, I lived in many other countries such as Iran, Greece, Germany, and the USA. I'm married with two big daughters and two lazy cats. Apart from being a teacher, I am also a good photographer, a reliable cook, a good carpenter, a computer nerd, and a keen cyclist.
