Experience: I have worked within the catering field for over 40 years, providing a high standard of food services within a variety of catering establishments.

Qualities: I am a creative culinary chef who is passionate about food, with a deep understanding of different food techniques. With the ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a professional and calm manner.

Teaching method: I teach using a combination of methods such as:-

1. Hands on instructions - ensuring the step by step instructions are accurate, repeating instructions when necessary, allowing students to confidently ask questions if they are unsure of what has been said.
2.Clear communications - I use easy to understand language which is at the level of the student's age and ability.
3. Engaging demonstrations - I am a visual learner, therefore I know how important for students to see a step by step demonstration. I am able to adapt the different learning styles to suit the needs of the pupils, for example those who learn by writing will benefit from recipes and hand outs. For those who enjoy IT I can teach using additional resources such as video clips.
