My lessons are geared to the individual student. An assessment must be first made on the level the student is at, which serves as a starting point. I use a very loose, personal format. Learning is much easier when it is fun. In my last job, I worked with people from all over the world and taught many a lot of basic English. The language is a difficult one and can be very intimidating to someone struggling to learn it. I will make it easy for someone to learn and make it enjoyable at the same time. Once the level of the student's English is established, and what their goal is, then we can proceed with a lesson plan and the proper materials. I don't expect my students to buy any materials. All I ask of them is to be prompt, friendly, willing to learn, and patent. No one is going to learn to speak or understand the language in one day. It takes time, effort, and understanding to become even passable in English. But, the hard work and effort put in will eventually pay off. I am originally French, so I understand how hard it is to learn English. I had a difficult time, this is why I want to help people who hare having a hard time. I don't want anyone to feel intimidated. I want them to be at ease and relaxed. It makes for better learning all around for sure. See you in the virtual classroom!
