The format is hands-on, so you will need your camera and a fully-charged battery with you. I use a combination of Powerpoint presentations and live demonstrations to explain the principles and physics of Photography, how your camera and its controls work, how important correct lighting is and how to achieve that under different conditions, what equipment you need for whichever branch of Photography you are interested in, and how you can capture the best images with your camera.
The Basic / Beginners course assumes that you have only recently purchased a DSLR, or have never dared venture switching it away from Automatic mode, so will teach you what the other modes are and both how and when to use them. The course is held indoors.
The Advanced courses are more customised and specifically targetted at particular genres of Photography, but assume that you already have a good understanding of everythng covered in the basic Basic / Beginners course. These courses will comprise a mixture of indoor classroom tuition combined with location shoots (depending on the subject matter, usually outdoors).
