Hi! I’m a GCSE and A-Level maths tutor working on GoodNotes on iPad to present and help students with their workings through shared documents, which synchronise with my own writing. I’m also available to tutor in person from my home, in which case I print out materials for the student to later take home. During our lessons, I aim to first and foremost help with any topics the student is struggling with, and later move onto enhancing their knowledge in all examinable topics within the curriculum. I use resources online, mostly exam questions taken from the exam board the student is sitting their exams from, and advise on exam technique as well as the knowledge required to answer the questions correctly. Having achieved both grade 9 in GCSE Maths and A* in A-Level Maths, I’m aware of things examiners are looking for in high quality students’ answers. Of course, I also hope to boost their confidence in Maths and hope my love for the subject might make it seem less frightening! So far I’ve tutored GCSE Mathematics and have been informed that my student felt more comfortable in their maths lessons at school after being tutored by me, as well as having improved by at least 1 grade. I believe I can adapt to different learning styles, and am understanding that every pupil works at their own pace. As a university maths student, I’d love if my passion for maths inspired my future students!
