I want our private lessons to work along side your school curriculum to minimise confusion. When arranging lessons I will make sure to be familiar with your exam board and tailer our lessons around the syllabus. I will break the lessons down into 3 parts. Firstly, we will focus on breaking down the questions which you struggled with in school, whether it's on the homework or in class. To reiterate, we will not be doing your homework during this time, however I will be happy to explain and go through any questions that you found particularly challenging. Secondly, I will give you new and similar questions to try out to ensure comprehension. During this time we can work on any topic of your choice. I will have a question bank prepared for us. And thirdly, we will go over the homework sheet I will be setting for you every session. This is the time in which we can assess your strength and weaknesses, discussing the topics we will be focusing on next. Over time I will reflect on the most efficient teaching methods for you and implement them more. I will likely be using a digital whiteboard and work on my iPad, however I am happy to work out alternatives for students who might not have the appropriate technology. I am hoping to create a low stress environment where both of us can enjoy maths and improve your skill, while actively pushing you towards your full potential. Make sure to communicate your goals and your year group to me upon arranging the first session, so we can make the most out of every lesson.
