First off ill give you a little background into the experience i have got. From I lived in the beautiful country of Thailand where I taught English to Students aged 5-6. Lessons were relatively fun and I made sure that lessons didn't feel boring for the students. We would play games often that involved letters and numbers and also words and objects. I found students were able to remember words and objects more when enjoying a lesson than when they were just sat down writing. Obviously I made sure to have the students complete worksheets and workbooks so that i could see they clearly understood what they were learning.
I have also worked in Nurseries and As a Holiday Club Member and After School Assistant providing care for students between 4-11 helping them learn more whilst having fun.
Lessons i will provide will be based around what the students need and want to learn and will be planned accordingly after getting to know the students strengths and weaknesses. There will be worksheets and also activities that can be found online such as wordsearches and crosswords. These will be used in order to make sure that students can identify how words are spelled and i will also be able to go through what the words mean. I will not provide homework for students but will always encourage them to practice what they have learnt in the lesson, outside of the lesson.
