My lessons are fun but also a place where you can understand what you are learning. If students are unsure of what they must do during the lesson, I encourage them to ask. They mustn't be afraid of asking questions!
I will go through the questions with the children and explain to them step by step and do a few questions with them and then let them try do a question and if they are confident enough to do it alone, they may carry on with the task that has been given. I encourage the children to take notes during each step of the working out so they can remember what to do and they can look back to their lessons and know how to solve the problem.
Although I encourage neat layout of the work, I also encourage students to show their working out so they are able to show what they have done in order to get the answer that they got.
I have set homework for my previous students and always encouraged them to do it and get it handed in on time. If students are struggling with their homework from school, I'm more than happy to go through their homework with them and show them how to work it out. I always give feedback to the students' parents as they are interested in knowing how their children in progressing in the lesson and eh they could do to support their child at home.
During my time at my previous place of work at Dr Khan's Tuition, I have had no complaints from parents on how I teach.
