For GCSE English Literature, I lean towards tutoring analysis and the structure of texts mainly, as well as enhancing vocabulary and memorising quotes with the use of active recall and pre-made flashcards. For A Level, I use past papers much more and favour teaching structure of texts more than anything else, as this is a significant way of writing better responses in essays. The structure of essays in both A Level and GCSE are crucial to higher marks and will always be covered. Any new content will be practiced in essay form to further develop understanding of the subject.
