I am proud to state I have worked so many jobs that have little or nothing to do with teaching and each one of them gave me something I can use: practical skills that made mea problem solver that people can rely on. Moreover, I enjoy learning from who has a better understanding or is more talented than I am, this attitude makes me an adaptable team worker with a good sense of humour and a high spirit.
Understanding diversity was a great part of my job. My role was to communicate effectively as well as reshape the classes when needed. This openness to change made my classes so interactive that the students actually shared with me the responsibility of their learning, thus gaining the studying method for themselves and using it at home.
Skills learned:
- Team work: The learning process needs to continue outside the school, so teachers need to make parents carry on what their kids have started in class.
- Digitalize the teaching experience: to give the chance to students to partake in classes, even when they are not physically able to, and help them with IT skills.
- Keeping up to date: the private sector is very competitive, so every teacher needs to keep up with the dynamic world of language learning and follow specific guidelines of Trinity College and Cambridge University
