My lessons will be as engaging and practical as possible to ensure that children enjoy them but also to get the most learning out of them. If children enjoy the learning they will put in more effort and engagement which equally means they are getting the most from the sessions. I will use teams, it’s free and accessible and I can share resources and my screen so that children can have a good visual of the learning. It allows me to teach in real time and I can also watch and guide the children as they are completing the work and activities. Lessons will start with a quick re-cap and retrieval activity to activate prior knowledge and then we will continue to build on that prior knowledge within each session. I will teach using different methods to ensure that each child’s learning style is covered. I will also include challenge questions and independent tasks to allow me to assess what the child has learnt and what we still need more practise and need to work on. I believe all children need challenge and will incorporate challenge that is achievable for them. All lessons will be based on the National curriculum outcomes which is what schools will follow and assess children on. If you have specific targets and areas for development we can absolutely cover those during the sessions and make those the focus. We may need to break these down into smaller steps to then achieve the aims. I will be able to deliver more 1:1 time with in the moment feedback that children can’t always necessarily receive in a class of 30.
