Hi, I'm Dani :) I'm a senior clinical nurse and practice assessor/supervisor in nursing practice.

Academic life can feel overwhelming at times, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. In my role as a Professional Mentor at the University of East London, I support students in building the skills, self-confidence and resilience they need to navigate challenges and move forward – academically and beyond. If you’re struggling to manage deadlines, feeling unmotivated or unsure where to start, I’m here to support you.
As a Freelance Specialist Mentor for Mental Health and Autism Spectrum Conditions (SM-MH and ASC), I provide highly specialised one-to-one support, helping students manage their academic workload while addressing their unique needs. Many of the students I work with experience conditions such as Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, OCD, Personality Disorders, Trauma and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). In addition to my freelance work, I am also approved to provide Specialist Support – Mental Health (SMH) through the Non-Medical Help (NMH) framework. This means I can support students receiving Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA), offering tailored, one-to-one support in line with national standards. I am registered with the Association of Non-Medical Help Providers and recognised by the Department for Education (DfE).
My approach is always personalised and student-led, offering practical strategies to help students navigate university life, manage stress and build confidence. For neurodivergent students, this might include support with executive functioning, sensory sensitivities, time management and social interactions. For those dealing with mental health challenges, I provide a safe space to develop coping mechanisms, build resilience and regain a sense of control over their academic and personal lives.

If you need help overcoming academic challenges, staying organised or managing stress, my approach meets you where you are. Together, we’ll find practical solutions that empower you to move forward with confidence and a clear sense of direction.

She’s super patient and always makes sure I get it before moving on. Really appreciate that. Makes everything much easier. Deffo recommend her, especially for essay writing!
