My maths lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each individual student, with a strong focus on building confidence as well as exam success. As a fully qualified maths teacher in England (QTS), I bring classroom experience and a clear understanding of the GCSE curriculum, exam boards, and what students are expected to do to achieve higher grades.

Each lesson follows a clear format. We begin by reviewing prior learning or homework to identify any gaps or misconceptions. I then introduce new content step by step, using clear explanations, worked examples, and visual methods where helpful. Students are given plenty of guided practice, followed by independent exam-style questions so they can apply what they’ve learned with confidence. I provide immediate feedback and adjust the pace and approach as needed.

Lessons are fully personalised. Some students need help strengthening core skills, while others want to move from Foundation to Higher tier or focus on exam technique. I adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs, including students who feel anxious or lack confidence in maths.

I regularly use past GCSE questions, mark schemes, and proven exam strategies to help students understand how to gain marks efficiently. Parents are kept informed of progress, and clear targets are set to support improvement over time.

My aim is to make maths clear, manageable, and achievable, helping students feel more confident and capable both in lessons and in exams.
