Daniel Partington

I’m a qualified and experienced Maths and Science tutor with over six years of experience working with students aged 7 to 18. I run lessons via Zoom for an interactive, dynamic experience — using whiteboards, screen sharing, and collaborative tools to keep things engaging and effective for all learning styles.

At the start of each programme, I work with students (and parents, where relevant) to create a tailored long-term plan focused on achieving specific grade targets or exam goals. Lessons always begin with clear objectives, followed by carefully structured content, regular recap, and plenty of opportunities to practise and ask questions in a supportive environment.

My teaching style is friendly, patient, and highly supportive — while also being strategic and exam-focused. I teach students the exact study and revision methods I used myself to achieve the top grades in my A-Levels (3 A*s and an A in Maths, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry), where I was awarded best in the college for Biology and Physics and regularly scored full marks in exam papers. I went on to graduate with a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Leeds.

I bring this real-life academic experience into every session — showing students how to build confidence, master exam technique, and tackle tricky topics step by step. My goal is always to help learners become independent thinkers who believe in their own ability, enjoy the learning process, and perform at their best under pressure.
