I am very passionate about teaching. I am also very social and welcoming, so starting off with me would never be a hassle. I am good at building trust with students which is vital for successful teaching. I do currently work at Explore Learning, where I am Maths and English Tutor. My lessons will be tailored to your pace and needs. It would at first, begin with an understanding of your current level and then we can build and enhance on that. I want whoever I teach to be ahead and that is my goal. The utmost thing I pride in, is providing encouragement for everyone. Throughout my experience, praising them really does encourage them to keep learning.

The lessons would begin with an introduction, with a plan of what would be covered in the hour. In some cases, it can involve refresher activities (if done in person). However, throughout the lesson I will be teaching and doing work and practice to help enhance the knowledge. Near to the end, as we build up, there will be independent activities - I believe this is very important because, I want to plant the seed and help but I will not be there for the exam! I aim to ensure that they are more confident than before in each question. If however, a topic is very hard and requires more practice, I will either space out the workload or do another session on the same topic. I may also do checkups (with parents, if wanted or requested), to essentially give a detailed and up to date report of how the student is progressing.
