As someone who went to a high performing grammar school from year 7 to 13, I understand the various techniques of different teachers and have created an enjoyable, fruitful and productive way of teaching. My lessons will involve active discussion and participation as these arguments and chains of reasoning are essentially what you will use in your essays. By conveying these ideas and hearing feedback, you will inherently understand exam technique and how to structure strong and valid arguments. Technique, as well as timing is also key in my lessons, so frequent timed essays will be expected in order to better prepare your nerves come exam season. In addition, we will incorporate current affairs and news into our lessons as this is the perfect way to understand the subject beyond the syllabus and to show off to examiners that you are interested in the subject.
