I provide an interactive type of lesson where I ask the student which topic they would like to look at and provide them with questions to work with. Once they complete a question, we see how well they did and if there have got the question wrong I go through their working and try to explain to them where they have gone wrong and what they should do differently the next time. My experience from A-Levels and GCSE also mean that I can work through exam solutions with the student and explain to them where the various marks come from and what the examiners are looking for so that their scores will improve. As well as knowledge, I believe it is just as important for a student to know where marks come from to improve exam technique, as lack of exam technique is a common flaw that prevents many student from doing well in their exams.
