My favourite way of having fun with lessons, and making sure others enjoy them too, is by incorporating games throughout the session, such as Blooket or Kahoot. These interactive platforms help keep students engaged and motivated while reinforcing key learning points in a fun and memorable way. I like to ensure my classes are as interactive as possible because I believe students learn best when they’re actively participating rather than just listening passively.
In my lessons, I usually begin with a quick warm-up or review of previous content to get everyone into the learning mindset. Then, I introduce new material through a mix of direct instruction, visual aids, and interactive questions. Depending on the topic and the group, I may use videos, quizzes, polls, or small discussions to break up the content and keep the energy high. I also regularly use tools like whiteboards, flashcards, and online collaborative activities to make the lessons dynamic and adaptable to different learning styles.
I have experience working with a wide range of learners, and I always strive to create a friendly, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying new things. My goal is not just to teach, but to make learning something students genuinely look forward to.
