Dain Kim

I’ve tutored at a tuition centre since 2025, teaching students from primary school up to GCSE, and I’m currently studying Economics, Finance and Data Science at Imperial College London. I achieved A* in both A-Level Maths and Further Maths, and ten grade 9s at GCSE.*

Lessons follow a set structure. We start with any questions you have from school or homework, so nothing is left unresolved. Then we move on to the topic itself, which I explain step by step, checking understanding as we go. We finish with exam-style questions so you can apply what you’ve learned and get used to the way questions are asked.

I put together my own sets of exam-style questions from a range of sources, so the practice is matched to your level and exam board. Homework is optional: if you’d like extra practice between lessons, I’ll set some. I go at your pace, look for where you’re getting stuck, and give feedback on your work so we can target those gaps.

Outside of lessons, I can offer mentoring on sixth form choices, maths competitions and university applications, based on my own experience. At school I took part in UKMT challenges, represented my school in the Hans Woyda team for two years, and achieved the highest score in my year group in the UK Mathematical Olympiad for Girls, which qualified me for BMO Round 1. Whether you want to build confidence, catch up, or stretch yourself further, I’ll tailor lessons to what you need.

Thank you!
