Having taught English in France for a week to French kids, I liked to come up with creative, not too distracting ways to teach them about where I come from and to teach them new words. I like to focus more on what the student personally struggles with the most and making sure they feel confident in that area. During lessons I liked to ask pupils questions so they can tell me their thoughts and using active recall such as Hangman or flashcards to make them use their brain and memory so they have a better chance at remembering and understanding English whether it be certain words or places or phrases.
