I have taught since 2007 and have experience of introductory courses (SQA Level 4) right up to university study (SQA Level 8). This would be equivalent to GSCE, A Level and above.

Having studied at undergraduate and postgraduate levels I’m happy to discuss higher-level university courses on an individual basis.
My main focus and experience are Levels 5-8 in a campus setting, online and 1-2-1. Depending on student need.
Lesson format will be student-led. This means we will have a chat about what forms of learning suit you best. I’ll then create different forms of learning so we can discover what works best for you. Everyone is different!
I’ll use short presentations and online activities to get you familiar with a topic. My current teaching uses a mix of online quizzes such as Kahoot and MS Forms (to help embed knowledge) which is useful for those who sit exams.
Finding what works best will take a few sessions so we can establish the format and pace of learning.
I am very open to discussing what you feel works in your current learning and what you feel you need to improve on to be a successful student at school, college, or university.
I can also run mock (practice) assessments if this is something you feel would benefit from. That can include short answer questions and multiple choice.
General presentation skills can also be taught, along with how to research, construct and present reports and essays to the required standard.
