My lessons are structured, supportive and tailored to each student’s needs. I like to begin by identifying the topics or skills a student finds most difficult, and then build the lesson around improving their understanding and confidence in those areas.
For Law students, I can help with understanding key cases and legal principles, essay structure, problem questions, exam technique and revision strategies. I particularly focus on helping students move beyond simply memorising content and instead understand how to apply the law effectively in assessments.
Lessons can include clear explanations of difficult topics, worked examples, practice questions, essay or problem-question planning, case revision and active recall. I also encourage students to explain concepts back to me, as this is a great way to identify any gaps in understanding.
I am currently studying for an LLB Law degree at the University of Southampton and have previously studied Law at A-level, so I understand both the A-level course and the transition to university-level legal study. I know how important good structure, case knowledge and exam technique are, and I aim to make lessons relaxed and approachable while still keeping them focused and productive.
Every student learns differently, so I am happy to adapt the pace and format of lessons depending on whether you need help with a specific topic, ongoing revision support or preparation for an upcoming assessment.
