I hold a BSc Psychology degree from the University of Liverpool and have strong knowledge of core Psychology topics, including research methods, statistics, mental health, cognition, social psychology, biopsychology and psychological debates. For my dissertation, I designed and delivered a modified spatial cueing study, used questionnaires relating to anxiety and depression, and analysed data using RStudio and Python. This developed my skills in explaining research clearly, handling data carefully, structuring academic work, and supporting others through challenging material. I also have extensive workplace experience, including caring responsibilities, administration and team-based roles, which has strengthened my patience, communication and reliability.
My lessons are friendly, structured and tailored to the individual student. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working through difficult topics at their own pace.
At the start, I will discuss your goals, current level and the areas you find most challenging. From there, I will plan sessions around what will be most useful for you, whether that is understanding key Psychology topics, preparing for GCSE or A-level exams, improving essay structure, revising research methods, or getting support with statistics and dissertation work.
Lessons will usually include a clear explanation of the topic, worked examples, active discussion and short practice tasks. I do not believe in simply giving students information to memorise; I focus on helping you understand why a theory, method or answer works so that you can apply it independently in exams and coursework. For essay-based subjects, we can break down mark schemes, plan answers together and practise writing clear, well-supported arguments. For research methods and statistics, I can explain concepts step by step using practical examples and visual structures.
