My teaching approach is centred on the idea that students learn best when working with music they are genuinely passionate about. Rather than starting with abstract exercises, I encourage students to bring in songs, styles, or artists they enjoy, and we use those as the foundation for developing technique, theory, and performance skills.
This way, lessons stay engaging and meaningful, while naturally covering the essentials such as rhythm, timing, scales, and fretboard knowledge. I aim to build strong fundamentals, but always through material that feels relevant and inspiring to the student.
I also encourage creativity—whether that’s improvising, writing simple bass lines, or exploring different genres—so students gain not only technical ability but also confidence in expressing their own musical voice. Most importantly, I strive to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment where progress is tailored to each individual’s pace and goals.
