My lessons are friendly, relaxed and centred around the individual student. I know from my own experience that Psychology can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when there are lots of theories, studies and terminology to remember. My aim is to make those topics feel much more manageable and help students build confidence in their own ability.
I am currently studying Psychology at the University of Kent, having previously studied Psychology in the US. Experiencing two different academic systems has given me a broad perspective on learning and studying Psychology. I have also previously tutored and supported fellow students, helping them understand difficult topics and feel more confident with their work.
I primarily offer lessons for GCSE and A-Level Psychology. I like to start by finding out what the student already understands and, more importantly, what they are struggling with. From there, we can work at a pace that feels comfortable for them rather than rushing through material.
I use clear explanations, real-life examples, discussion and exam-style questions to make lessons engaging and useful. Depending on what the student needs, we might focus on understanding a difficult topic, reviewing research and studies, practising exam questions or improving essay structure and evaluation.
I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, even if they feel they should already know the answer. Everyone learns differently, so I will adapt my approach to suit the individual student. My goal isn't simply to help students memorise Psychology, but to help them genuinely understand it, enjoy the subject more and feel more confident going into their exams.
