My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, abilities, and objectives. Sessions follow a clear structure, balancing thorough explanations with practical problem-solving exercises. The aim is to develop both a solid conceptual understanding and effective exam technique, fostering confidence and academic progress.

Content is adapted to the student’s level and goals — whether reinforcing fundamentals, preparing for 11+ or GCSE exams, or exploring advanced topics at A-level, undergraduate and postgraduate stages. I utilise a variety of resources, including past exam papers, customised practice questions, and diagnostic assessments to target areas for improvement.

I have over 20 years of university teaching experience, including six years at Imperial College London, where I have coordinated first-year mathematics, and 10 years supervising PhD, MRes, and MSc students. I combine strong subject expertise with refined teaching practices. I hold a PhD in Physics and a Master’s in Higher Education, which inform a professional and supportive approach to tutoring.

Lessons focus on making mathematics clear, manageable, and intellectually engaging, helping students achieve both immediate exam success and deeper long-term understanding.
