About me

I graduated from Durham University with a 2.1 in history, then went on to train as a teacher with Teach First. I was a history teacher and head of religious education in London for four years before turning to one to one tutoring. As well as my experience in the UK classroom, I've spent time teaching English as a Foreign Language in the Czech Republic. I feel that I really know English 'inside an...

As well as my experience in the UK classroom, I've spent time teaching English as a Foreign Language in the Czech Republic. I feel that I really know English 'inside and out'!

In my lessons, you won't just receive essay structures to copy. I'll help you understand how an essay can communicate your ideas, and why the literature we study matters. We'll begin with guided reading of texts before digging into analysis, both verbal and written, with lots of models and examples from me along the way.
