Cian Tsang

I am passionate about using my three years of experience as a SEN learning support assistant to teach English and Maths to students of all ages and abilities. My lessons are fun, creative, and tailored to the individual learning styles of my students.

When we begin, I like to take some time to get to know my students. I want to understand who you are, where you want to go, and what you want to achieve—whether that's improving your reading and writing, expanding your vocabulary, sharpening your essay-writing skills, preparing for your exams, or building confidence in your speaking. From there, I design my lessons around your ambitions and your individual learning style. I love to incorporate creative resources into my lessons, such as digital tools, visual aids, games, role-plays, and storytelling, to keep things fresh, engaging, and dynamic.

My teaching style will depend entirely on how you learn best. If you're more of a visual learner, we'll use more video explanations, annotated texts, mind maps, and visual prompts. If you prefer auditory learning, we'll dive into podcasts and music. If you're more of a kinaesthetic learner, we'll engage in role-plays and debates.

We'll work with a wide variety of different learning materials, from classic and contemporary literature, to news articles, video clips, movies, poetry, and any other texts that you are interested in and would like to explore.

My aim is to make your learning feel like an enjoyable and empowering adventure. I will always be friendly, supportive, and encouraging. I not only want to see your language skills flourish, but also for you to feel proud of your progress.
