I aim to share my passion to inspire students to study Physics and Mathematics. I can recall my time as an A-level student when I studied Mathematics and Physics. Without understanding why certain concepts are introduced in the course, one can feel often confused and lost in the studies. If this issue is not properly dealt with by the teacher, most students tend to lose their passion in the study of these technical subjects rather quickly.
My previous studies in Physics allow me to gain a very good picture of where the different concepts in the high school curriculum are used. I also had plenty of difficulties in learning Physics and Mathematics when I was young. However, I have learnt to how to ask the right questions when I learn conceptually difficult topics in Physics and Mathematics. This allowed me to understand them very effectively and even enabled me to study in the most renowned universities in the world. I believe that the insights I developed during my past studies would be invaluable to the underperforming students in the IB and GCE A-level curriculum.
I am a very friendly and approachable person. I aim to gain the trust of tutees so that they are more willing to communicate with me regarding the topics they have difficulties in. Once I manage to identify their difficulty, it will be much more effective in clearing up their conceptual mistakes. I also believe one cannot excel without sufficient practices. Homework is assigned from time to time to ensure my students develop a concrete understanding of the topics I teach.
