My lessons are pupil oriented, each student has a unique learning style which will work best for them and discovering this is the key to unlocking the learners full potential. Firstly, there will be an honest exchange about what the pupil hopes to gain from this tutorship; what specific goals they have in mind and how we can map a route to realise those ambitions.

My past experience as a tutor has taught me the value of letting the learner lead the learning. Once points of difficulty within the subject have been identified I will pursue resourceful and fun ways to address the topics. For instance, simulated scenarios, interactive games or a deeper discussion of the topic followed by a series of questions. This can range from formal to informal, depending on the pupil and often takes place upon a conversational platform to relax the session and get the best out of participants.

Furthermore, I am currently an employee of wespeak, an NGO which trains school pupils and university students to develop and perfect their public speaking and wider communicative abilities. This position has granted many insights into the most effective ways to instil confidence in students and promote a positive perception of their academic abilities.

To surmise, my background in essay-based qualifications, mentorship feedback and a professional background in both English tutoring and communication training combine to offer a comprehensive teaching skill set, primed to unlock potential and inspire academic success in all my students.
